I am wondering for those who live in Minnesota what sirens are in the city that you live in? It would be cool to get feed back to see just what sirens are in Minnesota.

Moorhead: Several Federal 2001's and one 2T22

Alexandria: 1 Federal STH-10, 2-Thunderbolts, 2 Federal 2001's, and 1 Sentry (unknowen make).

I saw a white Thunderbolt on top of a cell phone tower, In what I think is Bloomington. It was in back of a mall plaza with a "Famous Daves" and an ATA Karate academy.

Anybody else see that one?

Well,
Burnsville is all 2001's. Eagan is a mix of T-1000T's and 2001's. Apple Valley has WPS-4000 series whelens. New prague has (I believe) a WPS-2809. I've seen an SD-10 in northfield. There's an Ericcson Double-disc and a T-1000T in Mendota heights. MSP airport has 2 2001's one on the roof of the observation room, and one on the main hangar for NWA. St. Paul has all T-1000's and maybe a 2001 thrown in there. Minneapolis has 2T's and some 4/5 port ratio T-1000T's. Duluth has a bunch of model 2's. Hinckley has a model 5 (Early model) Owatonna Airport has a 2001. Bagley has a T-1003. Bloomington has a T-1003 on top of a gold office building. I believe that is the last 1003 in the cities. Cannon falls has a high tone model 5. Cedar rapids has a fedalcode 5. Chanhassen has a modulator 6024. Clearwater has a model 5. Crookston has a model2, a T-1003, and a 2001 130. Fisher has a Thunderbeam. Rosemount has a bunch of T-1000T's and a Thunderbeam. Elk river has 2001's and a model 5. The monticello nuclear plant has a whole slew of 2001's around their EPZ. Janesville has an ACA Allertor and a 5T. Motley has a 2001 and a Darley. Eden prarie has ACA's including an RM-130 and an Allertor. Lakeville has T-1000T's. Forest lake has a model 5.

Those are all I can remember!

White Bear Lake police station has a 1003 on it. St Paul also has a number of Thunderbeams. Baxter has a Hurricane 130! Rosemount has a 2T22 and a couple of 2001s. New Market has a model 2,5,7 and a WPS-4000 on their water tower that they run at the same time.

Hutchinson, MN. We have 6 Federal Signal 2001 DC's, and a fire siren, don't know anything about it though, may be sentry or a model 2, 5, or 7 or something that doesn't rotate, our sirens are tested on the first wednesday of the month at 1:00, the siren at the high school is messed up and is REALLY low tone.

In other towns I've seen a white thunderbolt 1000 or 1000T in hastings, Near kandyohi, there is a fedelcode or something with a round cover on it mounted on a shed at someones house! In foley there was an i-force or something (large magaphone array 4 coloms with 4 speakers on each) the a whelen 4004/vortex 100 feet away near a water tower. In Park Rapids there is a Model 7 mounted on a pole at the fire department on an inward facing corner! (bad placement!) Just outside of Luxembourd or south of St. CLoud on highway 15 there is a yellow allertor in a cornfied by a gravel road. (weird place) St. Cloud also has several roundback 2001's. Ill say if i see more.

Now before we all get excited about this 130, is this the same 130 by that red cell phone tower? If not, someone find out if it still works and get a video of it!

NO. The siren next to the Cell Phone Tower is in Centrailia Illinois. PLEASE don't bring that thing up again! Anyways, I've been in Minnesota a couple times, but, didn't know to look for sirens back then. HEY, I was only 9 years old (roughly) at the time. :-P
