I just have to ask given my curious nature. On the AR timer it says "DO NOT USE THESE TEST BUTTONS."

What if you did? What would happen?

Very nice, I'm surprised the city hasn't given up on this siren since it's always seems to be under a state of repair.

Edit:

This brings up another interesting observation and question. I notice a lot of different sirens have variable designs in their RCM boxes. When you pick-up my 1003, could you take pictures of the interior control boxes so I could see what they're like? When you have free time, of course. :)

I have the AF Timer leads disconnected running to the FC; nothing will happen if you hit the AF Timer buttons.

Your Thunderbolt 1003 will have the same style of RCM1 that my 2nd 1003 has (picture below). The RCM3 however, will be the standard RCM3.

The RCM1 below is basically the same thing as the FC (Federal Controller). To put it simple; it's an AF Timer, RCM1 and wireless receiver all in one.
Thats a CD&F (Civil Defense & Fire) siren timer (they make Sentry's siren controllers). However, it doesn't replace an RCM1 as it has no motor starters or relays. It's only an electronic timer. I think I have mine buried somewhere....
