Yep, Emergency's sirens were dubbed in. If you watch the first season, with the Crown Fire Coach engine, there is a CP-58 speaker center mounted on the front of the truck. But the siren sound is mechanical. Just another interesting point of information. For the siren sounds in Emergency and Adam-12, they used a Federal Interceptor in the manual mode. For the mechanical siren sounds on Emergency they used a B&M S-8 siren-- the exact same ones that were found mounted behind the grills on the 1960's vintage Crown Firecoach trucks. So the mechanical siren sounds were accurate for California.
