Detroit Arsenal Thunderbolt 1000 in Warren MI. Updated

Sun Apr 06, 2008 8:55 pm

This is the video I recorded saturday for the bases monthly noon test.
and the voices heard it in is one of the two officers from the bases Police dept. They were there cause I was close to the fence of their property. The part I was on was not marked, so I didn't know. They were cool about it.

This is also the last Thunderbolt still in use in Macomb County.
The Arsenal is located near I-696 and Mound Rd.
The siren is located near Tank Ave.

I have reuploaded this clip, and it doesn't have the glitches in it.

This one is definitely a 1000. It sounds completely different than the 4/5 port 1000T you recorded in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. This one simply has a single 5 port rotor. Great video, despite the glitches.

Thanks.

While I was uploading the video from the camera my Nextel Phone was trying to locate itself. I know when it does that it messes with the speakers. So i'm thinking it interfered with the Ilink cable as well.

Man, I hate when cell phones do that! Mine has done that several times, and messed up a fiew recordings. Fortunately, they weren't siren recordings. These days, when I'm doing anything with audio, I make sure that my cell phone is far enough away from the recorder that it won't cause interference, or I just turn it off.
