When I was videotaping it the housing was loose not bolted down and the siren was getting the power and it is REALLY old.2t22boy wrote:When the siren activated, the housing starts turning, whats up with that?

Could the hosing somehow be blocking airflow or something? Because i notice, that when it goes up, it slows down until the housing starts spinning, then goes up to normal speed.Rheems1 wrote:In all of my years of seeing and hearing sirens... that is the darndest thing I have ever seen!!! It does sound like it needs new brushes... either that or the electrical service in that area can't meet the demand of the start up and sends a surge. That is also the first time I can ever say I have heard that motor sound on a Model 5.... that makes it sound wicked!!
