When I was videotaping it the housing was loose not bolted down and the siren was getting the power and it is REALLY old.

HAHA. It looks like it's dancing. How cute.. I guess the mounting bolts for the casing were taked off sometime in it's life.

It sounds like that Model 7 also may need new brushes. It reminds me of the sick Trunnel Thunderbolt when it starts. Notice how it hesitates?

Like a comment in that video says, this may be the first rotating directional omni-directional siren other than Thunderbeam...

It seems it needs to be repaired and the housing bolted down.

In all of my years of seeing and hearing sirens... that is the darndest thing I have ever seen!!! It does sound like it needs new brushes... either that or the electrical service in that area can't meet the demand of the start up and sends a surge. That is also the first time I can ever say I have heard that motor sound on a Model 5.... that makes it sound wicked!!

Could the hosing somehow be blocking airflow or something? Because i notice, that when it goes up, it slows down until the housing starts spinning, then goes up to normal speed.
