How exciting. I've seen a couple of WS-3016's riding through Tulsa. I would imagine they have some kind of omni-directional variant in downtown Tulsa, though.

I have a friend that lives in Tulsa, though all I got was confusion out of him when I tried to glean some siren information from him.

He said something along the lines of a Federal XT22, but I'd take that with a grain of salt.

Tulsa, as far as i know has only Whelen 3016s and the newer rotating Whelens. Sand Springs (Suburb) has omni whelens. Broken Arrow and Sapulpa (Another Suburb) both have Whelen Rotating Sirens. I think Collinsville (Yet another suburb) has a 2t22 no?

Well, I can attest to Sapulpa having Vortexes/WPS 4000's. Oakhurst has Omnialert A04's/WPS 2800/2900 series. Sand Springs also has Vortexes/WPS 4000 series.

Not sure about Broken Arrow, as I've yet to travel there, but I hear they have the biggest Wal-Mart so I might someday. I can't imagine them having anything else than Whelen, though.

Claremore, which is a little ways away from Tulsa, also has Whelen Vortexes/WPS 4000 series. They recently failed because of dead batteries, but are fully operational again.

*laughs* I have no idea, but my family in Sapulpa/Tulsa says it's the biggest Wal-Mart. Probably in Northeastern Oklahoma. You'd think Bentonville,AR would have the largest Wal-Mart, though.

One of those 3016's is dual tone. It's the higher pitched one. You can hear it winding up in part of the video.

It is also interesting (and yet a good idea) that Claremore has a system of Thunderbeams as a backup system.
