Hello community,
I always wondered if sirens such as 2T22s, STL10s, SD10s, (all of those with angle iron legs). Has anybody has ever seen them with the screens around the angle-iron legs? I haven't.

That's to keep any foreign matter from clogging the air-intake.

I'm no genius but it looks to me like
the screen was put there to keep birds from building
nests on top of the pole under the air intake.

I have seen this before. pretty simpl, keeps out everything
that shouldnt be in there. which is everything in the world
except air...

I agree on what this does. I think its a good idea. Thing is I've never seen one except in the Federal ads for the STL10, SD10, and I think the STH10.
