That 1000T sounds just like the one at Doss Highschool here in Louisville, except that this one is rotating at 4 RPM's. Another weird thing about this video is that the other Thunderbolt in the background sounds just like the one at Kerrick Elementary School. I'm only about 110 miles from where this was filmed.

Sigh, that sound is so much more ear catching rather a 2001's shrill of a tone. :| /minor-rant

I have to agree with you on that one, although I've heard a fiew 2001's that didn't sound that bad. It may depend on how far you are away from one.

To illustrate what I was saying earlier, listen to how similar those Thunderbolts sound to two of these in this recording of mine.

Similar? They sound just about the same there! :P

However, by how it sounds you might be closer to the siren rather the original post linked. :)

As I said before, the loudest TBolt in the Hamilton County video rotates faster than the one in my video, but they do sound shockingly similar. I did a double take when I first watched the Hamilton County video.
