I’m probably very wrong but it may be an antenna. As I said, I could be very wrong.

No, the government had that station listed as having a siren.

I could be wrong, but I think this thread is best suited for clear, coherent pictures of sirens that are of an unknown make/model. If it's just a blurry blob, there's nothing we can really do here besides make stuff up.
Quoting this ^ because I think it applies to this siren. All you can see is a motor and stator behind a screen, which means there's almost nothing you can go off of. All we can do is guess.

I'm just going to quote this again to re-iterate, because I feel it's becoming a problem here. Unless the streetview is recent and very clear, it's almost impossible to tell what sort of siren something is. The only way we'll be able to tell what type of siren that is, is if someone goes out and takes a picture.

This has probably been posted here in the past as a bad quality street view image, but what do you guys think this thing is in Ripon, CA? I'm kind of thinking it's some sort of modified Federal Model X (Due to the little maintenance door at the bottom segment of the housing), but I'd like to hear what you guys think:

Pretty sure it's a 5/7. You're correct about the maintenance door. The lower louver is also Federal, the crimping around the edge gives it away. If I remember correctly, the punched vent (versus the cutouts with screen covering them) indicates that this is a later siren, but I could be wrong. They definitely moved the louver down, and with how short the housing is, I imagine this thing is getting starved for air.

A few summers ago I was at the Iona College near me, and I noticed this funky Atlas-type horn on top of a building. It's visible on Streetview and Satellite, and I was wondering what it was. Simply a PA speaker, a homemade siren creation, or something else?

Sirens may not be sexy, but they sure work.

It’s a speaker. Not everything is a siren.

I'm pretty sure I didn't imply that. I asked if anyone knew what its purpose might be.

It is impossible to make an identification if all you provide is a gray streetview blob
