so if the voltage couldn't be changed then wouldn't they sound like a British siren in America? I'm so stupid and confused...
No. It has a universal motor. They would sound the same in the UK.
I know WAYYYY TOO MUCH about these things...
That's interesting because I've seen a video on YT of a GP3 that sounds like a normal British siren.
All of the videos I heard of GP3's are basically videos of 2001-130s that are dual tone.
unless you are thinking of a GP8...

I'm sure it was a GP3. Maybe search up on YT a video of one? I'm sure there was one that sounded like what I was describing.

It's entirely possible but due to the rarity of Klaxon sirens in America (There probably isn't any) I would classify this as a homemade bench grinder job.
There are actually several Secomak GP3's in the US. Most of them are privately owned, though. And that motor looks WAY TOO MUCH like a GP3's motor to be a bench grinder. I think someone imported one from the UK or wherever secomak is.
I agree with you, now that I look at it again
I'm glad someone does.

The GP3 was meant to sound like a blitz type siren (12/10 port) most likely to fill in dead zones in the system.
I own a model L now cause im cool and epic like that

If you look at a picture, it is actually 5/6 and sounds more like a Bolt on chopper 6 or 7.
(As I said in a previous post, the GP3 was also available in 110vac, so it wouldn't be unlikely for the thing in PA a GP3 with fabricated intakes.)

It's weird because I know generally how sirens work but I'm not too familiar about the anatomy of anything that intrigues me.. I just thing they're cool i guess

Yes. You could special order De-Icers, but I don't think many were purchased with De-Icers. I have seen some with De-Icers, but they were not in very good shape.
And that wasn't rude, it was just a question.
