The last time I'd gone through Gibbon, this siren was red. Apparently when the water tower got repainted, so did the siren. I don't know if this is active or not. There is a new Whelen of some type a couple of blocks to the south of this, so I figured I'd best get pics while I could.

More pictures of it then a video at least to hear what it sounds like. You guys taking these pictures need to ask the towns these sirens reside in seeing when they conduct tests of the system! :(

Nice screen job!

Great siren, though, nonetheless. Now imagine these pictures having been presented to this community about five or six years ago, while the world of sirens was still rather something that hasn't been explored too much!

I couldn't help but notice that this siren appears to be made out of some sort of metal. Weren't most, if not all SoundMasters made of fiberglass? Or is it just the paint that gives the siren a metal appearance?

It's covered in Aluminum paint and yes the housing is fiberglass.

I called and asked one time. they stated that it's still in service. They said something about testing that i can't remember. They don't test it on the first Wednesday. I think it's owned by the fire dept.
