Here is the monthly siren test for Country Club Hills. The sirens heard are a couple of 2001's, a Thunderbolt, and a Whelen 4004 sounding in alert mode.

Great video...love the sound of the Thunderbolt.

I wish Orland Park tested for 3 minutes. Last month they only tested for 45 seconds. Darn yuppies probably complaining about the noise

Thanks! Maybe it's not yuppies, but maybe it's how your county test there sirens. This video was taken at 10:00, but about twenty mins. later, the 2001 that I can see from my house went off. I think each county does things differently, but I'm not sure.

Well it may be a city thing. Seems that all the villages test theirs differently, but they're all in Cook county. Orland tests theirs for 30 seconds to 1 minute, while every other village I've heard in Cook county tests theirs for 1-3 minutes. Some do alert and attack, some alternate between testing months. I think I can remember once Orland testing in Attack a couple years back, but other than that, 30 seconds alert and that's it :(
