That's funny how the YouTube poster called them a UFO!

Do you have any idea why they keep restarting at random, without winding down? It doesn't sound like a Whoop signal to me.

Well, given that there doesn't appear to be any storm in his area, they probably malfunctioned. They were probably receiving a signal to "Sound Alert" every so often so the siren simply kept "Sound Alert Command" every time it thought it received the signal, that'd explain the numerous wind-ups.

Though I have to admit, it does sound neat when they do the wind-up every 10 seconds or so. It makes for a rather unique signal.

I've actually heard some Whelens do that before, in another video. I'll have to find the link.
