wow.... that's very.... sophisticated.... or something

It is pretty interesting to hear the sirens "talking" with the polling device. I like to imagine which one is responding each time the signal is received.


Here's the box that houses the CompuLert equipment for the P-10 in Kop's Park, complete with spiffy logo.


And here's the siren it's connected to, sticking out of the trees.

That uses up alot of radio airtime. If they had to talk over that channel or send out another alert, they'd be screwed. I've seen other makers poll faster.

After looking at the compualert stuff, it looks pretty old and outdated. Good idea, but it needs revision to keep up with other stuff thats out there.
