Mission Acomplished: Newark OH Thunderbeam Test 8-13-08

Wed Aug 13, 2008 9:10 pm

The final video I can film before starting school, a Federal Signal Thunderbeam siren located at Roosevelt Middle School off Mount Vernon Road (st. Rt. 13)

I finally accomplished my goal of filming each variety of our sirens.

A Quick glance of my past videos

Thunderbolt 1000 (Downtown Newark):

Vortex R3 (Levin Park; Newark):

And the New Video I got today

Federal Signal Thunderbeam (Roosevelt MS; Newark):

if you listen carefully, you can hear a click before the Thunderbeam Siren Starts.

Super nice recording. Too bad it wasn't brighter out?

It was bright and sunny out today, it's the camera...

For some reason it has issues adjusting from bright to darker...

Cool video! We now have 4(?) Tbeam videos on youtube! Did you think the Tbeam was loud? When I recorded my Tbeam it wasn't very loud at all.

I set my camera up within a couple hundred feet of the siren and then proceeded to move my step cousin and younger brother behind a dumpster with earplugs in for their hearing protection.

it wasn't loud, and we approached the siren with hearing protection, and my step cousin, who is not familiar with sirens, found it enjoyable!

Thunderbeams certainly are interesting sirens - very unique design.
