FS 2001 Attack for Tornado Warning

I've always found that 2001's are boring and unintimidating UNTIL you know you're in danger. Then it seems like a booming voice tellin' you to cover your A double S

That sounds more like a Model 5 or STH-10 to me. I could also faintly hear a duel tone Thunderbolt.

That sounds more like a T-Beam than a 2001, It has a longer wind up than a 2001.

Does sound like a T-beam! Being 1991, and small town Kansas I doubt it is a 2001 though.

I remember seeing this clip on the Weather Channel, back in 1991. I thought at first it was an STH-10, but then after watching the video a second time, I realized that the siren sounds more like an RSH-10. Very effective siren, but sadly, the Thunderbeam was a short-lived design.

Sincerely yours,

Ron W.

Sounds like a Thunderbeam hence the sound never gets fully quiet due to the open tilt of the sirens "" plate.

Since I live by a number of Thunderbeam's that do the attack signal, that sounds definitely like a Thunderbeam

Nice video. A siren seems to sound quite different when there's a tornado sitting right in front of it. Hah.

"Look at how BIG that sucka is!" lol
