Well, in Lancaster they run do one full blast of the sirens when it hits 12:00. A lot of people use it now a days as a signal that it's lunch time. Would that be considered a "lunch-time siren"?

We almost had a midnight siren out here...one night, not too long after we moved, they were having timer problems with our noon siren and it sounded an attack signal (which it is not supposed to sound at all) at 11:45PM for nearly a whole minute.

there are so many of these up here in North Dakota.and they always used to scare the crap out've me.
