This was in Mason City, IA. It was recorded before this Allertor was replaced. It sounds kind of like a rotating 2T22. I love the sound of this thing! I think that the other siren heard is a Thunderbeam. As an added bonus, these sirens are sounding for a tornado warning!

Sounds exactly like a 2t22. Near exact same sound being thrown out. Too bad there wasn't any actual video. :(

I hear another siren too. The allertor is too close when the other sways in.

Yes, he told me after I had already posted this that he's a member here. His username here is Acaallertorkid. I haven't heard this particular recording, but I have heard his other recording that he posted here, with the Allertor and the TBeams being tested in Attack. Those other sirens are definitely TBeams BTW, because they're the same TBeams that were in his other recording.

I don't think Acaallertorkid has been around here in a long time. I think that his last post was before I joined.

I miss these sirens, MC is my hometown and I know Troy which did this recording. It was just audio that he recorded of the March 30, 2005 tornado warning. The tornado that actually prompted this warning touched down in the field by my house. You are correct MC had three Tbeams, like 5 or 6 allertors, one 2T22, one banshee, and one older 2001 out by the airport. I didnt even know they were replacing these until the day that I moved out of town there was a 2001 on the corner just down the street, I was pretty bummed out because these sirens really carried their sound and you could hear 2-3 sirens across town when they would sound.

In this new video, you can hear the 2001's that replaced the sirens in Troy's video.

They sound like 2001-SRNB's to me.

Hmm, could be im not quite sure but we have those sirens here in West Des Moines along with a few Whelens near by and I hate them. I heard them almost everynight for about a month always between midnight and three AM in June cause of the stupid storms.

Those Allertors are awesome. Great recording. They sound kind of like a 500AT to me.

Sounds like a cross between Tbolt1003 without blower and XT22.
