Fire Alarm Types?

I like electronic models, specifically because you can program it do do many sounds. Also, hearing a harsh-sounding electronic alarm is much cooler than a hearing bell.

Nothing can beat the good, old-fashioned guttural growl that a buzzer produces.

ARGH I personally hate those "growling" buzzers...
I like the electronic and the PA systems. I mean, they sound so digitized... and I like technology...

I have a passion for electronic fire alarms. Sorry, but the electromechanical aspect never appealed to me.

I'm very used to hearing Code 3 on a Spectra Alert (We have those at my old highschool but they are branded FCI)

I know you can also have them do continous and the classic "smoke alarm" 4/5s sound

I always enjoyed the Model A sirens we had in school (and their Sterling and IBM equivalents) and which are still used in many of Oregon's older school buildings. Many have been replaced with obnoxious piezo sounders, but there are still many sirens out there. Aside from those, I like a good electromechanical horn with a long projector (so it is not too raspy) with a pulsed or coded signal.

Here is what we had in junior high. They sounded a 4-4 code. You can still buy these from Edwards via Allied Electronics for only $266.71

I've been exposed to fire alarm bells my whole life almost. I find buzzers or horns are just... annoying. There is nothing more exciting than sitting in absolute sirens when the bells start to ring. It's a sudden "explosion" sound I find. I own 4 fire alarm bells, and 1 horn.

I like the ones that speak to you. (May I have your attention please, may I have your attention please. A fire emergency has been detected.... etc) I've always wondered who makes the recordings for those. They must get paid alot of money to do that.
