Simsbury, CT Whelen WPS-2740 sounds for fire call

Mon Oct 06, 2008 12:28 am

A Simsbury video by fellow CTsirenhunter and railfan trains0509. Yes, this is the Whelen I heard doing a noon whistle throughout all my years in elementary school. Remember this?: http://airraidsirens.com/forums/viewtop ... tisirenist

Well, the kid in that incident is trains0509 on Youtube. So we found our mystery young siren fan after all!

It's a good video too, from what I can tell. I had to listen to it on low volume.

Here it is!

I left this board in early 2010. I am not a part of the siren community in any sense anymore. I will not provide assistance or information.

I enjoy his mainline action videos, with a bit of sound! I didn't think Whelens were even used as fire sirens, but okay. I rather a Federal.
So, apparently, I like Federal Signal...
