Are you planning on getting cooked from microwave energy from the Cell tower transmitters. That is probley why they will not alow the city to go up there as they would have to shut down all the transmiters on the tower. (I am sure there is more the one cell phone company on that tower)

Most towers dont use Microwaves anymore, as the technology
is outdated.

Good point Archon!

I was wondering about RF emissions.

Don't wanto be exposed to any RF, micro or cell.

Need to research this more.
The cell phone antenna radiators are pretty well shielded
and emit only outwards where they're aimed.

So don't know that much would be inside the tower.

Do they shut down a tower to work on it? I thought not.
I assume it is mostly a matter of liability.

Please correct me.

Thank you,

I think they do shut down towers temporarily when they work
on it.

Buthe problem withat is thathere are likely many other RF radiators
active. Can't imagine they could shuthem ALL down.

I guess I could make a "Faraday" suit of metal window screen to shield me. But would be difficult for my hands. Have to make "mittens".

Do professionals have such apparell?

I don't think that they do that. The closest thing that I can think of to your suggestion is some emitter that cancels out the waves produced by the tower, in the vicinity of the entity of required protection.

Way back on the old board, there was a rule put in place that said we'd not discuss illegal means of procuring sirens. It doesn't matter if it's not in use, you'd be tresspassing, stealing, and damaging property to get that Hurricane.

So let's get off that topic or this thread will be locked down faster than a hurricane's wind-up.
Beware those who teach not how to think, but what to think.

Great analogy...thanks for the laugh, Blasty.
I didn't know Hurricanes had a fast wind-up.

Really, I would first ask, explaining our need for a tornado siren.

If a "no" answer, go to higher authorities.
I'd keep writing so that unit would not just go to waste.

It is accomplishing nothing but being in the way.

It will eventually come down by rotting and falling, possibly hurting someone or equipment, or someone will have to be paid to take it down and get it out of the way.
I'd save them the money by doing it myself under my boss's insurance policy. I'm sure they'd want proof of $1 million policy.
Or, their crew wouldo it and charge a fortune.

Madness, I cannot imagine there is a way to CANCEL RF radiation.
You can *JAM* RF signals, but cannot repell with another
transmitter tuned to the precise frequency.

Please correct (educate) me if I'm wrong.

Thanks,
