Dual tone siren

Thu Aug 17, 2006 9:02 am

In a vain attempt to create a dualtone siren, is it possible to cut the heads off a sth10 and a stl10 and join them on a single motor?

Just discussing. doing this would be cruelty to sirens

Wouldn't that make a 2T22?

Nope, that would create a dual tone siren sounding much like the HOR 7/10 port ratio siren, It would have a very slow wind up.

The basic profiles of the STH-10 and STL-10 would probably allow for mounting of them on the motor of a 2T22 or 3T22.

No, the 2T22 has completely different rotors than either the STL or STH 10. Remember they are 22" diameter! 2T22's are only as big as a model 5's rotor.
