Sounds like I'm hearing an ACA Hurricane along with 2 Thunderbolt 1000Ts.

Neat! It's one of the more mysterious recordings out there. That particular clip is off the first few minutes of Tornado Video Classics I and greeted everyone that visited warningsirens.org years ago. Its one of my all time favorite recordings.

I think that is a 2t, not a Hurricane.

Yeah, I guess you could be right. The wind up just sounded kinda fast. This does sound like Archon's 2T.

Good find, Matt. I haven't seen that video in a long time. I remember renting it from the Portland CT library shortly after it was posted on warningsirens.org. I can still remember some of us calling that 1st 1000T an SD-10 and the debate about it on the 1st siren board.

I've been trying to find that recording FOREVER! I remember hearing it and thinking it sounded like a 2T22 even though it was labeled as an SD-10, but a 2T makes sense now.

I heard that one yesterday before it was posted here. I also thought that the first siren was a Hurricane at first, but I almost immediately realized that it was a 2T, because the wind-up was way too slow, and it wasn't rotating. I've never heard a 2T with that much echo on it before. The rest of the sirens are obviously duel tone Thunderbolts, and they blend in great with the 2T.

That's enough to scare the hell out of anyone! That 2T sounds awesome, almost like it's synthesized. Wish it were longer.........
