Sirens will be tested today and it will be done in zones, which means they will not all go at the same time.
Aye-aye, can't wait to see the list of failures.
Why would you say such a thing like that? We work hard to make sure all sirens work so the citizens will feel safe.
Mr. Werden, this isn’t really related to Cincinnati but I’m Northeast Ohio, the ASC T-121 you guys installed over the summer in Vienna Township, OH failed to sound for January’s monthly siren test in Trumbull County. All other sirens in the county activated, including the other T-128’s in Vienna and in Trumbull County.
Niles, Lordstown, and Warren Control and maintain their systems separately but they are tested along with the county monthly at the same time (they have an assortment of Federal 2001 models). All their systems passed successfully.
This is a bit concerning because just two days after the test on Tuesday, January 8th, an
EF-1 Tornado touched down in the Cortland area, not too far from Vienna Township at around 10:45 am EST.
According to NWS Cleveland, the tornado touched down and traveled for awhile before turning into a waterspout as it traveled across Mosquito Lake.
To my understanding, all sirens in Trumbull County were activated.
