Did 2t22s have date codes?

Federal Signal said the date code I sent was meaningless - the 2t22s
did not have date codes.
If incorrect, I'd sure like to determine when our 2t22A was made.
Any ideas?
Thank you,

I called Fed about my old T-bolt and they told me that
they couldn't date the thing from the serial number.
I guess they don't use serial numbers with date info.

Yes. That is more correctly what they told me.
Thanks for your clarification.
Then what the h*** is a serial number for, FedSig?

Yes, the way to tell dating on a Federal siren is to look at the serial number. The first two numbers show the year it was produced, like my Model 2T is serial number 77BXXXXXX... so my siren was made in 1977.

Interesting.
I would expect that, but a FedSig technical support person said my 2t22 number did NOT indicate the date.
I'llook at it and send it to you if you wish.
