Well, using Live maps, I found the SIGNAL DIVISION Federal Signal Corporation Plant.

Using the Bird Eye view I found the MOD Modulator MOD6048 or the MOD6032, or the MOD6024.

I looked around for the other sirens, & then I found them, the 2001-130 & the Eclipse*8, all next to each other.

You think they should post all there current siren models in a line up there
you know like the Model 2, the Eclipse NH, the Eclipse*8, The DSA, The MOD, & the 2001*130.

But I digest.

Here they are.

I looked for Sentry, Amercian Signa, & Whelen but Map coulnd't find them let alone give me a bird eye view.

Enjoy

Whelen: 51 Winthrop Road, Chester, Connecticut 06412

Sentry: 2812 N. 9th St. Canon City, CO 81212 (No birds eye)

American: 4801 W. Woolworth Ave. Milwaukee WI 53218

It didn't look like they had any sirens at their plants, but you might find them.

I know Whelen has no sirens mounted at the plant in Chester, and I kind of doubt they have any mounted in NH either. I don't think Sentry or ASC either.

for some reason, I was expecting the plant to be....umm....biger & the sirens spread out though the area.

Their plant is not very large, but then again, how many people a week order $15k+ sirens?

I drove by the Sentry plant one day last year and quite frankly, the place looked VERY plain, except for their sign and maybe a siren or two in a crate out back.

Here are some photos of those. This looks like before the Eclipse was even made.

it looks like they mayhave upgraded the siren (2001*DC that is) with the newer 2001*130 but its hard to see.

Yes they have, they've always had the most current 2001 in production on display out there, as well as other sirens like the Modulator. They've updated at least the boxes on the Modulator as well, because it now has the shiny chrome-looking boxes on it.

Btw, that 2001 in the archives picture is a 2001-SRN, not DC (though they're hardly different).

The only difference I see between the 2001-DC and 2001-SRN is the motor cap (the big white thing that says "FS" on it) and the horn itself isn't riveted together, it is made by metal being compressed and cut into one piece. The DC horn was a sheet of metal shaped into a "tunnel" then riveted together at its endpoints to make a horn.

That's the only noticeable changes. IMO, the 2001-DC and 2001-SRN are the best and my favorite of the 2001 series.
