Michigan State in East Lansing now have 2001's (5 i think). They used to have 4 single tone low pitch t-bolts. Those old t-bolts could be heard a good 4 miles away on a still day in neighboring Lansing. New 2001's went up a couple of years ago.

UofM in Ann Arbor is coverd by the city system of 2001's.

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville has a Whelen Vortex / 4000 mounted on one of the buildings. Not sure if it's used for tornadoes or any other emergency or both or what.

Brandeis University (Waltham, MA) has 3 or so of your average 4-speaker ATI.

Skidmore College (Saratoga Springs, NY) has a 3-cell Whelen omni of some sort on top of the library.

The University of Connecticut has a multitude of 4-speaker ASC E-Class sirens on its main campus (Storrs, CT), which replaced 2 (I think) Thunderbolts that they might never have taken down. These E-Class sirens are also located on their other, much smaller campuses elsewhere throughout the state.

The University of Iowa is in the process of updating their siren system. Here is a link with a good deal of information about the siren system and some audio clips of voice and siren tone warnings they use for signaling.

http://www.uiowa.edu/~pubsfty/siren.htm

The other day they launched a surprise test of the siren system so I was trying to get a good recording of the electronic voice alert the sirens were emitting. One of them must have malfunctioned as it could be heard across Iowa City for nearly twenty five minutes!
