I went out for the afternoon and evening drills during Severe Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota and recorded two sirens. This was an ACA Allertor 125 in Edina, MN where they tested both Alert and Attack modes. This video is now a part of the Wikipedia page on Civil Defense Sirens.

I grew up on the border of Edina (in St. Louis Park). The first siren I tape recorded was the Allertor right next to the Public Works building (right behind Jerry's Foods on Vernon) back in 1984. At that time, Edina had an Allertor at Pamela Park (on 58th Street, between France Ave & Wooddale Ave) right next to the two tennis courts. There was an Allertor on Valley View & Gleason Rds (at the entrance of a church parking lot).

This was the Valley View/Gleason one. Too bad it's been replaced some years back with a FS2001 now or I'd go back and re-record it in 4K. Edina had a lot of Allertors. I believe they are now all replaced with FS 2001s.

Edina also had at least two SD-10s. One off of Valley View & Hansen Rds, and one on Gleason Rd (right off of Dewey Hill Rd, next to Braemar Golf Course). And there was a yellow omni directional siren at Cahill & Dewey Hill Rds (it may have been a ACA Super Banshee - that's what it looked like anyway).

Oh and Edina had another Allertor at Cornelia Park, at the corner of Cornelia Drive & W. 72nd Street, on top of the light pole with four lights on it. We went to record this siren once in the 90s. It started up then quickly failed. They removed it shortly after.
