Sounds like a mix of single and dual tone Thunderbolts, plus a German shepherd in whine mode.

Sounds like a 1000T, a 1000, a couple SD-10s, and maybe a 2001.

Growl? I didn't know Cincinnati did growl. I have witnessed a Thunderbolt doing this signal thal is like a short wind-down without a windup or tone in the middle. It's a signal just to see if the sirens are responding.

Kind of hard to hear the sirens... but not bad nonetheless. What's with the dog? ^.^

Hard to hear the sirens? Sounds more like they stand out pretty well. Great recordings btw. I bet it's pretty spooky when they sound for real. Sometime you should try to make your way over to one of Hamilton County's T-128s for the growl, alert, and attack tests since we don't have any recordings whatsoever of a T-128 doing alert of growl.

I got totally d*cked for the 2nd time in a row; I leave work at lunch to go record a siren and then it doesnt go off. I went down yesterday at noon to record the Downtown Hamilton Siren and it never went off. Weeks ago, I went to Northern Hills FD only to find out that the building has no power and is being torn down. The siren will have to be moved. Next time, I will film the Springdale Allertor up close (< 50 ft horizontal), so you can see down its throat! I will bring double ear protection too.

B.T.W., I have been at Clayton's shop on test day, and heard his SD-10 do a growl right before noon. Thats the only time I noticed.
