Took some pictures of the 2t22 at Friendship Park yesterday. The top intake cover is bent as well as one of the horns on the top row.

My question is: Why is the power shut-off box 4 feet off the ground. It seems to me that anyone can just waltz up an shut it off. I think it might be something stupid in the electric codes in Toledo.

I have a funny story for every siren! I remember when I was about 7, I was walking my dog at the park. I didn't know it was the first Friday of the month. I was 25 yards away from it when it went off and it almost gave me and my dog a heart attack! I was terrified of sirens since them until a year and a half ago. I think that one event is what planted the seed for currently loving them. 8)

Awesome pictures, I bet that 2T22 has been there for a while, to mention the worn out CD Logo.

I asked my grandmother, who has lived right on the Maumee Bay (1/4th of a mile from the siren installation) since the 1940s. She told me that it showed up sometime in the mid 1960s.

I can'tell from the siren, but looks like three conductors into the mast weatherhead.
