I believe that is a Darley siren, and we have those all over in Oregon. The insides are those of a Model 5.

Just an interesting fact but the metal box on the power pole actually was for the siren that was at the war memorial.

Fedelcode Model 5, if not a Darley.

Both Narrandera and Peak Hill have them.

Every Federal and Fedelcode siren I've seen has a pointed cap, while Darley and GCS had rounded ones. Darley generally had lower deflectors that were the same diameter as the cap, while GCS had a much larger deflector in the middle of the housing than at the top. BTW, Chiz, what kind of siren was removed from that pole?

This is my old GCS Model 2. Their "Model 5" is much taller, but also has the larger-diameter center sound deflector. The inside contains a Federal Signal Model 2.

This is a Darley "Model 5" from the town of Sublimity, Oregon. The insides are made by Federal Signal (Model 5, 12 port), but the smooth top housing is from Darley.

Same model as the one at the fire station.
