Outdoor warning sirens are the most effective method to warn a large population about severe weather conditions or other emergencies in the shortest amount of time
tell that to Los angeles
oh wait they have that reverse 911 yeaaaahhh

Ya i wish a lot of cities were like Memphis when it comes to the variety of their siren system. Shelby County, TN and Hamilton County, OH probably have the most diverse siren systems I know of. I also wish Nashville had the same system as Memphis!!

I'm sure Memphis will be quite pleased with their new pack of Screaming Okras. They will get your attention that's for sure.

The folks in Memphis/Shelby County need to knock some sense into the folks in Nashville. Great to see they're filling in the gaps with T-128s instead of just saying "our current sirens were made by Federal Signal so we'll just go with whatever they've got", which seems to be the attitude of many counties these days.

Does anyone know if Memphis has purchased any new T-135 AC/DC's.
