Great to see it went to a collector instead of a scrap heap somewhere. I'm all about historic preservation, and seeing a rare siren being saved... Is a good day.

Wow, nicely done, Matt. Treasure it and treat it right, now.

I really hope he does something with it. I haven't heard a thing from Chad or Geek1229.

That would be nice to see one at least semi restored. Those last two Hurricanes from Garland that those guys got just seemed to vanish. Wonder what ever happened to them. I think it's been at least 3 or 4 years since I have seen anything on the board about those sirens. The only thing I ever remember seeing about them was from that Geek guy.

Here's some pics of the last two Hurricanes that Garland auctioned. That was in November of 2004. I was at the auction when the last 2 were sold. If I remember right they sold for around $300 for both of them.

Here's some pics of the 1st two Hurricanes Garland auctioned back in April of 2001. The blowers aren't on their plates because Garland left the
blower plates on the poles. They simply mounted the ATIs to the old Hurricane poles. I have no idea what happened to these sirens. I wasn't at the auction when they were sold.
