Looking for a couple of old recordings from one of the first Siren Contests. I believe they were recorded by Mike Stalnecker? One was of a 2T22 and a low tone model 7 and the other was a WS1000 and a 5T. Both were recorded from the first siren contest in late 2001 / early 2002.

I've asked before, but I figure I'll try my luck again.

Also, this goes for everyone, if you got recordings from before 2004, let me know please! I've been gather them up for awhile and will put them all online soon for all to enjoy

Well, waaaaaaaaay before I went Digi, I used an old Cassette tape recorder (and for you young whippersnappers, a casset recorder is a bulky thing to use  ) & I think I recorded some of the older contest ones.

You want it Jason? (I'll want that tape back if you do)

The only one I submitted to the contest was an Erick siren recording. I still have all those files, transferred from one computer to another. I also have a collection of sounds lifted by a friend from the original Doom series, including chainsaws, pinky demon roars, and that lovely splattering sound when a monster was turned into Ragu (I use that as an incoming message alert on my phone).

I might have the whole 2004 siren contest laying around here on a CD. I'll do some digging after I study.

I only have the second contest saved..... I can tell you this though... the 5T and WS 1000 is called Tremont 5T and the 2T22 and Low Tone Model 5 is called "On The Hill"... I will never forget the names of those two files because they were the early benchmark of siren recordings. I will never forget how smooth the Low-tone 5 sounded and how great it sounded mixing with a 2T22. I will check my computer at home but I don't think it ever transfered over from my old computer.

Brent, I would greatly appreciate it if you could still send me those folders! Not sure the best way to go about it though since they are large, any ideas?

Mike, I have the 2004 contest on here already. kswx29 graciously sent it to me last year (along with some older old recordings).

Dave, those are EXACTLY the sound files I'm talking about! For some reason they were just awesome recordings. Unfortunately, they were on the first siren contest I hosted back in 2001.

Daniel, do you have the sound files from the first contest (including the ones I mentioned)?

Thanks guys! Most of the Siren Contest recordings won't mean much to you that have only been on here a few years (thanks to Youtube), but for the veterans here, it would really be a treat!

In fact, it's only a few months away until it's the 10th anniversary for the siren board so it would be kind of cool to have some sort of retro thing with old recordings and photos and such. Once I get these recordings I'll post them up for all to enjoy
