Except for the two guys, those sure are the cutest sirens.

Sad that they were concerned with military attack when it was/is really tornadoes that pose the threat.

They've had tornado threats way before that, so that was already sort-of renowned for its significance. Air-raid discussion of that era was an emerging field with all of the crap going on then.

BUT, I still like the way you paint your T-bolts more, the paint is a bit toned down on this one for my taste. Or possibly its just the photo.

One of the best classic invasion movies was Red Dawn, which if I remember didn't have any sirens at all. The sky was raining Russians and Cubans. Every time I hear the Russian national anthem, which has the same melody as the old Hymn of the Soviet Union, I remember the execution scene where the Soviets were playing it over a loudspeaker, and the Americans began singing patriotic songs just before being shot.

Yes, that is a nice collection of sirens, as well as a great Thunderbolt and a couple of other dudes. I noticed that the word on the sign is spelled "civil defence" rather than "defense." I wish Noah Webster had never changed the spelling of the English language.
