Amesbury center Whelen 4008

Another Amesbury 4008 from the 11-10-2010, 12:30 PM Seabrook test. This one is located right in the center of town behind the Public Works building. I shot from a fairly short distance and found that hearing protection was needed when it was aimed in my direction.

Nice, I was at mine, and from where I was I could about 15 others wind-up and wind-down. Was it loud most of the time because for a minute or so, I didn`t wear my hearing protection when it was sounding as it didn`t seem that loud to me.

It was painful when it was pointed at me so I had to cover up. I was about 250-300 feet away. When it was off in another direction it wasn't terribly loud.

I was about 50-70FT from the one I was at, it went off right at 12:30PM and it was loud and had a very cool wind-up. When it was pointed away from me though, I barely knew the thing was on as it got so quiet.
