Rusty Siren Contest

Sun Nov 26, 2006 6:59 pm

I know this is a stupid contest but see if yall can find and post a picture of a siren more rusty than this Thunderbolt in this picture. If yall can than the contest will continue to see if anyone can find and post a more rustier siren than that picture that was more rustier than the one I posted.

Hers the link to the pic: http://www.jmarcoz.com/sirens/mtjackson4_va.jpg

I haven't seen a siren that rusted up, but there's one close to here in Andale (a model 2) that has lots of rust on it. Sorry I can't get a picture of it because of my leg injury.

Can you say "heavily rusted and corroded"?

Here's a picture of an early 30s siren I restored last year:

If your siren is a-failin'
Chances are that it's a Whelen
And if it's just about to die
Then it must be an ATI

Try the STL-10 in the airraidsirens.com Siren Museum.
Blades will bleed. Shields Will Shatter. But as the light fades, will the Hero rise again? Or will darkness rein?

If the links don't work, then copy it into the Address bar.

Is that another siren on the window sill below and left of the Thunderbolt?
If so, is it to stop traffic near the fire station?
