The Siren Board

I noticed in a few of the pictures on the Victory siren's website that the primary horns had an extention piece. Was this accessory designed to increase the siren's output range?

Sort-of. It blended the horns into one throat. Due to the fact that the Chrysler sirens had a fairly low tone, you could say that the front piece was to extend the projector profile to aid in efficiency. The siren looked much better with that.
