Hornet siren Question

Wed Nov 29, 2006 4:36 am

Does the Hornet broadcast voice messages like the Whelen Vortex and 3016?

Also, is there any video of a hornet being tested?

No Videos, and i am pretty sure the Hornet is a Tone-only siren.

The Whelen Hornet as well as the vortex are tone only sirens and are not capable of producing a voice message whatsoever. The only sirens Whelen currently makes that do voice messages are the WPS-4000s and the WPS-2900s.

The WPS-2800's produce voice aswell. Any WPS siren will produce voice I belive.
Blades will bleed. Shields Will Shatter. But as the light fades, will the Hero rise again? Or will darkness rein?

I was talking about the Whelens made today. The 2800s were replaced by the 2900 series.

No. None of the Vortex series are capable of voice annoucements. The Vortex R series, the Omni Alert series and the Hornet are tone only sirens, however the 2900 series and 4000 series are Voice capable.

The whole point of the Hornet, Vortex, and Omni-Alert series is to have the siren tones but no voice to reduce the overall cost of a siren system.
