[quote="CTsirenhunter"]Well, in the meantime, moving away from Hartford Tbolts, here's a great new discovery I made using Google Maps. I was just wandering around West Hartford on Google Maps, taking a look at Wolcott Street. I saw a school, and interestingly enough, its driveway had stree...

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE BEAUTY!!

O MY GOD!! WHAT A RARE BIRD!! WHAT A BEAUTY!! Does anybody who's active on these forums have any knowledge of this largely undocumented model? I like what some of you are saying...that this could have been a prototype of the later 22's. Send this picture over to J. Marcoz for the siren archives!! A...

I made an interesting discovery today. The East Granby Model 5 behind the strip mall and the one behind the firehouse are actually just one siren! The two places are back to back with each other, with a bit of woods in between with the 5 in them! - yes, got close-ups of that one, too...you can sit ...

FIGETTABOUTIT!

Whoa, dude.. I grew up 2 houses down from a big ol' 5, installed in '68, in the heart of a completely residential neighborhood. River Edge, NJ, just outside NYC, a town a mere 2 sq. miles was set up with about a half-dozen 5s, and they used them for every fire call well into the 90s and the modern p...

:D You're the best, "3t". I was going to go through my photos and dig those up, but they're in a pile somewhere and it's a hassle...glad YOU found them FOR me and posted them! Aren't those beauties? And that "Leaning tower of T-bolt" on Hartford's south side is indeed still there...

Hey, "3T"..

What is it with these low-pole t22s?? There's another one just like this one in PA here in CT...on a pole about 15 feet tall..on Rt. 63 in Middlebury near the start of Rt. 188. Check it out! Here is another one to add to the low siren category, this is the fire siren for Girardville, Pa in upper Sch...

TO: CTSIRENHUNTER AND "3t22"

Yes, that is indeed an STH or STL-10 sitting silently atop West Hartford Town Hall. I know the town administration well and one of the senior guys took me up onto the roof to view it about 5 years ago. It's all seized up and rotting, as is the control box located indoors at the top of the stairwell ...
