Re: Any remaining Peach Bottom or Limerick Thunderbolts?

This is an old Thunderbolt from the Limerick system still in place as of November 2022. As shown in the image below, there is a T-128 below it. The satellite imagery also appears to show both sirens. I still don't know for certain if this one is also still in place as of this year. I will have to v...

Re: Colorado Springs, Colorado - Old System Locations Help

Higher Def photo 2.png Here's a pole mounted 500-DHTT, it was on East Yampa St at North Union Blvd 1.jpg As far as other locations go, I was able to scrape up locations for multiple sirens throughout the system, but I was not able to figure out the models. E Bijou & Chelton Rd Waddell Ave and Le...

Re: My ex Trojan model 7

I hate to be the one asking the simple questions, but what was the Trojan system? I've heard about it before but never knew where it was located. It might just be the camera angle, but it looks like the core is shorter than other Model 7s. It it actually shorter? To be honest, it looks like a 3-hor...

Would you happen to have any pictures of the Fire Headquarters unit? I assume it's the Erie Blvd. one, correct?
Correct. I don't have any photos of that unit but a newspaper article from 1953 had mentioned a Thunderbolt going off randomly at that location.

Here is a map of all the known locations of sirens and horns (and some unknown ones) in Schenectady County, New York. Let me know if you have any more information! https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1IrcyJVPRabq8Isv06FnhM4TO5Kr6y_8&usp=sharing Your fourth jailbar was at Oneida Middle School...

Re: Schenectady County, N.Y. Civil Defense System

One Jailbar Thunderbolt has been alleged to be at Sacandaga Elementary school in Scotia; however, I have not seen anything backing this up yet, and it being outside the city doesn't make sense to me, but it could still be possible. This one could be seen from 230 Schermerhorn Street in 2011 streetv...

It should be repairable, but we also know a lot less about Hurricane blowers than we do T-bolts. ACA/ASC may have used something funky and custom that's not unobtanium. I have my doubts, though.
IIRC, the Hurricane used an M-D Pneumatics 4012 series blower.
