Eagle Lake, TX Federal model 5 audio.

A couple of years ago I posted pics of Eagle Lake,TX sirens. I finally was able to catch a video (audio only) at the end of a call, It was at 6:10am and woke me up so I had to dig for the camera. The video was taken in my front yard about 1/2 mile from the siren. Video (audio only): http://www.youtu...

In my own personal experience with dealing with big city's on their old siren systems, they either say they don't know and pass me off to someone else, or it's none of my business and they are too busy with other things than to answer me & brush me off.

Unidentified twin horn PA speakers.

Was wondering if anyone could help me identify this PA system. I was in Pearland Tx. picking up some motorcycle parts & noticed a PA system sitting on the ground, I grabbed my cell phone & snapped a pic. The horns are much larger in person than in the picture & the openings are similar t...

Wait, JPayne9207 said it was new. I thought they didn't make 3016's anymore? It could be a used one. I know some places have replaced their 3016s. I didn't mean it's a "new" siren, I meant it's a new siren for the area. Knowing Houston, they would buy something used. I haven't been close ...

it does seem alittle low since most of the tree's around here are taller than that. At one time there was a Thunderbolt about a block away from this one & it was at least 20 ft higher.

new whelen spotted in Houston

I noticed that a whelen has been installed at a nearby fire station. It's on Gessner & Kempwood in N/W Houston, Tx. I went over to ask about it, but the only person there was some young guy organizing some equipment & he didn't know much about it, but said it was recently installed. I haven'...

I remember standing directly under one of the thunderbolts we used to have here in Houston. The blower was not very loud, it sounded like a very low pitched muffled growl. It couldn't be heard over 50ft away with the chopper operating. I think it was one of those earlier models with the massive blow...

Testing Euro. police motorcycle siren

Testing the Interpol siren for the first time. The Fiamm HO horns are temporary until I can find the original Lucas HO horns. The Fiamms' are special ordered to match the original notes, d5 & f5.

Haha, while we're at it, why not a train locomotive prime mover! That'll wake up the entire county. We're talking about 4,400hp. Ah, the possibilities, I wouldn't let this one slip by, but do be reasonable with your pricing. Do keep us posted, this is very interesting. It should be a more valuable ...

Thanks for waking me up from falling to sleep at nearly 2AM in the morning! That thing is a screamer! I will agree on the 2001 remark as well. I was running it off of an old 12v car battery. If I had a new fully charged 900 cca battery & better wiring, I know it'll get alot higher. I'll...
