Re: The Ferry building Heath siren

I do hope I am posting this in the right spot, but was doing some research about the Thunderbolt in the Ferry Building and came across a post from 21 days ago...some seriously great pics of the Thunderbolt that is up there. These pictures are NOT mine, and in fact are sourced from the below thread ...

Re: Dutch Flat, CA - What is this?

It is an STL-10 with custom horns, below a fire bell, which is extremely cool to see It has 6 horns and is far too small to be a STL. Maybe its just a very messed up ASC T-121 Can't be any ASC siren. This siren is 6 port, which ASC has only made 8 port mechanical sirens. Plus, even if it was 8 port...

Re: Dutch Flat, CA - What is this?

I and a few other enthusiasts knowledgeable about Japan's sirens have looked at this in the past and apart from minor resemblance it doesn't look like anything coming from there. This is most likely a local creation Being 6 port single tone it can’t be based on any existing American core as far as ...

I managed to go to the wayback machine and found it.
Looking closer at it, it likely won't ever be able to play again. The frontmost stator is cracked badly, and even broken in some spots.

Re: AUS unknown siren model

That seems to be a Grifco 999! These are pretty much just an Australian version of a Carter.

Re: ACA Hurricane locations help

I've been searching up locations of ACA Hurricanes recently, and as I've been trying to find them on historical aerial views to try to find their exact locations, I can't find them. I know this one is in Garland, TX somewhere near Fire station #3, but the fire station wasn't even built back when th...

Re: Cosgrave siren In Jerome

I have proof that they were indeed talking about the Denver downtown. Here their FB post says: "The town siren is on the Fritz, we have disconnected it pending replacement of a interface". I'll have to try asking myself in more detail on the Cosgrave itself. Will provide an update if they ...

Technically, this one came from the factory mounted upside down.
