I just found this on Facebook:

http://www.facebook.com/pages/911-Twin- ... 39?sk=info

Looks like it was created last year with hopes of getting the sirens to sound off on the 9th anniversary... and with higher hopes of getting them to sound off this year.

For my 2 cents: church bells = good; sirens = bad.

Yes, you could put a notice on the news, or in the newspapers - but not everybody will see/hear the news. People are already cracked in the head, and paranoid - why cause things to get worse??

Dont get me wrong, clearly I love sirens - or I wouldnt be on here all the time. But, I think it'd just make things worse. Since 9/11/01, people blame everything on terrorists - like the black-out of 2003.

Blame it on the sirens instead. It would be kind of funny if all of the sirens activating caused a brownout though...

What I heard on the radio is that they are gonna set all the sirens in the state of PA, off for the memorial, btw I live like 20 to 30 miles from the Shanksville area.

Everybody, make sure they actually mean the sirens we are interested in, I think a lot of articles are talking about vehicular sirens. The places I'm listing are ones that I know they specifically mentioned the sirens we are interested in.

I found an article that at the Clark County Museum in Nevada which is the county Las Vegas is in, they say they will sound a historic air raid siren.
