Federal Model 5 put back into service

Here is a Federal Model 5A that we recently put back into service. The siren had been sitting on top of the fire station out of service since around 2004. The neighbors finally complained enough that it was shut off. Sometime after that all of the controls for the siren were removed. The fire dept wanted it to go back into use for fire calls and storm warning. We installed an FC Controller and a new motor starter. It will run what you see in the video for fire calls and also have a three minute alert for storm warnings. Everything is radio activated. The siren is located at the Enochville Fire and Rescue near China Grove NC.
