Given the fact that most cities/towns of any size have the control boxes and power switchs locked with very few keys floating around it is probably a huge headache to shut down the sirens at the pole. Add to that most larger towns/cities have the PD running with backed up 911 calls for true emergencies. In many places having the PD turn the sirens off probably has the priority of a barking dog complaint.weasel2htm wrote:I don't see it being THAT tedious, if the fire and police departments get involved in turning off the sirens, each person take a few sirens, they would get turned off pretty quick.
