Looks like a sterling M10 without the little grill covering the air intakes.

It's a Federal Type B dual head like Ririe has, I believe.

I agree with Kasm- looks like that siren... but that siren sure doesn't look like my "type B" ..
Sterling M-5, Sterling Mechanical Siren Timer, Federal Electric Co. Type B, Federal C3 1/2, Secomak VS1, Federal Type A (Coded & Standard), AF Timer, various other sirens \ controls

I have absolutely no idea what model this siren might be. I recall seeing a few pictures of similar sirens on the Siren Archive. I believe they were in Sacramento, CA.

The outline of the siren kind of looks like B&M Model 10 siren, with a custom housing. But I can't say for sure because the photos don't show alot of detail.

You can tell that thing was assembled from scratch; the top cone looks to be off an industrial chimney. Could even be a small HOR?

Yeah, the dual headed Type B doesn't look the same at all. Also I was not aware that B&M made any sirens other than a few vehicle ones and the Mobil Directo. Does anyone have any more info on their other models?

Any thoughts on what this old horizontal siren might be?

Image

The photo is probably from the late twenties, sorry for the poor quality.

Without a doubt a Sterling M series siren.
Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.
