Kasm B&M made several different outdoor warning sirens, I believe the one in Texas is a B&M. That housing was not scratchbuilt either.
Also b&m did not make the Mobil directo.
Ah, that would be it. Does anyone have any general information on B&M then? I've never heard of them beforeBadgerSiren wrote:You're thinking B&N: Biersach and Niedermeyer.Kasm279 wrote:Also I was not aware that B&M made any sirens other than a few vehicle ones and the Mobil Directo. Not to be crazy with the old dual headed Type Bs, but I think this might be another. It doesn't look like the horns have a grate over them like sterlings usually do.Crazywarriorman wrote:Without a doubt a Sterling M series siren.landmobile wrote:Any thoughts on what this old horizontal siren might be?
The photo is probably from the late twenties, sorry for the poor quality.
I have to agree with Crazywarriorman, its definatly a Sterling M.Kasm279 wrote:Not to be crazy with the old dual headed Type Bs, but I think this might be another. Both the housing and the rotor seem to look like those of a Decot. I would love for someone to confirm this or correct me. It could also be a H.O.R, since those were quite common in both PA and NY and if you look closely, it seems that the siren has 7 ports in the visible rotor.landmobile wrote:My wife spotted this siren a few days ago but I don't know what is:
