well, these things are pretty much "build-to-order." They're not going to waste the time and labor to assemble sirens unless they have a firm purchase order for them. If they have indeed decided to discontinue the 2001, they'll fulfill any outstanding orders and continue to make/stock service and repair parts for however long they need to do so. If they aren't discontinuing the 2001, then the question is moot since they'll still be making parts anyway.
