For the batteries, all i can say is i think they use 2 Compartments for extra DC running time. I know Lahar AHAB's better than Tsunami AHAB's, even though they're the same thing.
Will be leaving ARS until the new year, taking a break from the Drama.

I think it's because it's a MOD6048. Those use an extra something for the extra drivers, but I can't remember what. It may be batteries though.

Thanks, Siren Boy. I will look through those towns on Google Earth and see what I can find.
Kicking it in the siren party since '08

I think its for extra amps, since that model has two drivers per cell quarter.

Yeah pretty much, though the second pair of boxes is a completely separate set of controls from the other pair, but the two controllers are linked together. Essentially, a MOD6048 is like having two MOD6024 sirens combined into one unit, since each cell has 8 drivers instead of the normal 4. Apparently one UV control unit can only support up to 2400W total output, since the MOD6032 also has two sets of controls (though only the middle two cells contain 8 drivers each, the rest are the normal 4 per cell). Come to think of it, in reality those Mods could be either 6032s or 6048s, really no way to physically tell the difference between the two with everything all buttoned up; only way to know is to either look at the ID tag on the head unit, or open the two control boxes and count the amps.

I was in school yesterday so i couldnt film the statewide AHAB test (conducted first monday every month at Noon). I will likely have an opportunity to record on New Years Eve though, ill hit the 2001's if i have a chance (only 2/3? left working in the system).
