Yeah pretty much, though the second pair of boxes is a completely separate set of controls from the other pair, but the two controllers are linked together. Essentially, a MOD6048 is like having two MOD6024 sirens combined into one unit, since each cell has 8 drivers instead of the normal 4. Apparently one UV control unit can only support up to 2400W total output, since the MOD6032 also has two sets of controls (though only the middle two cells contain 8 drivers each, the rest are the normal 4 per cell). Come to think of it, in reality those Mods could be either 6032s or 6048s, really no way to physically tell the difference between the two with everything all buttoned up; only way to know is to either look at the ID tag on the head unit, or open the two control boxes and count the amps.holler wrote:I think its for extra amps, since that model has two drivers per cell quarter.
